‘Loki the wolfdog’ might just be one of our favourite Instagram feeds out there. An adorable dog exploring the wilds of America – what’s not to love?
The account is owned by Californian-born Kelly Lund and he has been documenting his adventures with Loki, a husky/arctic wolf/malamute mix, for a couple of years now.
On his website Lund says: “I love new adventures that make me feel uncomfortable. I love to explore new places. I also love relationships between humans and animals.”
It was during a blizzard in 2012 that Lund brought Loki home and the rest, as they say, was history.
“Instead of him entering into my world, I felt like I had to listen closely and enter into his world, if this was going to work out. At that time, I decided that I would do everything possible to not leave him behind at the house.”
Judging by their Instagram account, it seems as though this has certainly been the case. In fact, when Loki was just four months old Lund was taking him backcountry skiing, and by his third birthday he had already seen most of western America.
Fortunately for us, all of these adventures are documented through the medium of photography and hearts must be melting all over the world as a result.
Loki seems to be a natural in front of camera and some of the environments the duo explore are just stunning.
