Daniel Ernst Instagram - Lofoten Islands

This breathtaking Instagram feed will make your Monday so much better

Author: Rob Slade

Feeling those Monday morning blues? We’re not sure if this stunning collection of photos is going to make them better or worse, but at least you’ll have plenty of inspiration for your daydreams.

We only stumbled across Daniel Ernst’s Instagram feed recently, but it’s already become one of our favourites. The adventure and travel photographer hails from Frankfurt, Germany, and explores many of the world’s remote and beautiful landscapes in the hunt for the perfect moment.

On his website he says: “I want to inspire people with my photographs and stories causing a desire, a motivation to leave the rush behind, escape routine, go outdoors, explore and experience nature.

“We are fortunate to be presented with many opportunities in this world, it’s just about making them into reality.”

Well, we reckon he’s certainly achieving his aim. Since joining the social media platform in late 2012, he has already amassed an impressive 185,000 followers, and that’s with only a very modest 196 posts in his feed.

You’ll find photos from all over the globe, with Norway, Iceland, New Zealand and Canada often featuring in particular.

The feed is certainly a case of quality over quantity, with each photo framed exceptionally well along with a brilliant use of light and perspective. The photos not only make you wish you were there, but they actually seem to transport you into that moment. And we’re certainly thankful for that on this miserable Monday afternoon.
