Corey Richards Discomfort video

Video of the week: Cory Richards’ tribute to discomfort

Author: Aisling Kiely

National Geographic photographer and North Face athlete, Cory Richards, dropped out of high school by the age of 14 and focused his attention on adventure and travel. After travelling to all seven continents, hiking up the world’s highest mountains and narrowly escaping an avalanche that nearly killed him, it is clear to see that he goes to extreme lengths to capture and convey the world’s most beautiful landscapes.

In this week’s short four-minute video of the week, Richards explores the story behind his travel photography and videography and the power it has to inspire, tell a story and capture the emotions that are involved with adventures. Told through an emotional story and a series of images, the video touches on what it means to triumph, fail and pull through the hardest situations in adventures.

Let’s put it this way, it’s a video that is sure to pull at the heart-strings and inspire adventure travel in equal measure.
