South America is undoubtedly one of the world’s most spectacular continents. It plays host to exotic wildlife, impressive mountains and a stunning variety of landscapes.
Fortunately for us, the rise of drones over the past few years means we now have the chance to enjoy some of these truly incredible landscapes in the best way possible, from the air. And we’ve not found any other video that comes close to showing the beauty of South America as well as this one does.
The video was created by Tom Montefiore and Adam Humphrey using a Nikon D60 SLR, GoPro Hero 3 and a DJI Phantom 2 drone as they travelled through Chile, Bolivia, Ecuador, Brazil, Argentina and Peru.
Along the way they took in baron deserts, iceberg strewn lakes, epic waterfalls and some of the most remarkable mountains on the planet. They hiked through dense jungle, stalked llamas through the ancient ruins of Machu Picchu and came up close and personal with seals and penguins while diving.
The result? Well, we’re pretty close to walking out of work, jumping in the car and heading to the airport. If you ever needed any persuading to visit South America, then this is it.
