Far from the ribbed, shiny, polyamide down jackets you’re used to, this stylish, 700 fill number is warm, packable and environmentally friendly. We liked it so much we featured it in Wired For Adventure volume 20. Here’s a snippet of what we had to say:
“Despite its more casual outer appearance, the jacket, with all the bells and whistles you’d expect with its price tag, is everything you’d want from a heavy-duty outer layer. The Texapore fabric is highly waterproof and keeps you very warm but is breathable enough to regulate your temperature – which is helped by the
pit zips.
Although it’s as big and puffy as other high quality down products, it doesn’t restrict your movement and actually packs down pretty small even though there is extra synthetic fibre fill- ing in addition to the down. It isn’t the lightest jacket on the market, but I haven’t found it to be cumbersome either. The best part is, the down is 100% responsibly sourced and Jack Wolfskin commit to recycling practices and initiatives across their whole range.
Of course, along with all of its functional fabric, the Cyrox has everything that makes any good jacket great, including nice deep zip pockets, an inner pocket, and an adjustable hem and hood.”
