8 photos that capture the beauty and majesty of being in the mountains

Here at Adventure Travel, we’re suckers for getting away for the weekend and finding some mountainous terrain to escape to. Chances are, if you’re reading this, you’re probably the same.

There’s something mesmerising about the mountains, whether it’s somewhere in the UK like the Lake District, or further afield in the Alps or the Himalayas. To be honest, there is nowhere we would rather be.

Unfortunately, like many of you we are stuck in an office for much of the week, so in the meantime we have to rely on the adventures of others to get our fix.

So, it’s a good thing there are lots of incredible photographers out there capturing endless adventures and keeping us stoked up on Instagram. One such account belongs to Robert Grew, an adventure and landscape photographer based in Manchester.

He spends a lot of time travelling around the country and venturing overseas to fulfil his outdoor addiction and could be found surfing on the south coast of France one week, and climbing in the Alps another.

The thing we like best about his Instagram feed is the ability to take a photo that shows both the scale and majesty of the mountains, while also channeling the magic and contentedness of the people within the photos.
