Happy birthday to Craghoppers – the British company has just celebrated its 50th birthday, and we reckon most UK hikers will have owned a piece of Craghoppers clothing in their time.
This is a super simple, super lightweight top, and it packs down nice and small too. The fabric is called Microfleece, which uses finer fabrics than traditional fleece to give a softer feel and greater warmth to weight.
There’s a long zip running half-way down the front of the top – great for extra ventilation if you get too warm. And there’s a zip-up chest pocket with loads of room inside it for valuables; this doubles as a stow pocket for the top – a nice touch.
The sleeves and hem are slightly elasticated to keep them in place, although on me the sleeves still ride up easily, which would put me off. It comes in a choice of four pink and blue colours.
In a line: Extremely light weight – shame about the sleeves.
