Watch: Alex Honnold’s 700m Free solo of The Shining Path in Mexico

Legendary free climber Alex Honnold has taken on some of the world’s biggest walls without ropes. In 2017, he famously became the first person to free-solo the iconic El Capitan, a 2,308m sheer rockface in Yosemite’s National Park.

Watch him here take on El Sendero Luminoso (The Shining Path) in El Portrero Chico, Mexico. Honnold scaled the 700m climb in just over 3 hours in what could be the most difficult rope-less ascent in history. Skip to 3:00 for the send.
