On 18 July 2018, Alexey Molchanov broke the world record for the deepest self-propelled freedive. That means no oxygen, no help: just Alexey, his arms and legs, and the deep blue.
Thankfully, his record attempt was filmed. So, watch as Alexey dives 130 metres below the water line (before travelling the 130 metres to get back to the surface)…
